To celebrate the launch of our latest dining package, VANEATS.ca welcomes you to our 2nd Annual “BOYS vs. GIRLS” #VANEATUP @ EBISU on Robson! There will be amazing food and drink specials, a HUGE door prize (TRUST ME—It’s definitely something you’ll go “goofy” for!), Twitter photo contest and the evening’s BIGGEST SHOWDOWN, Boys vs Girls Eating Contest!

BOYS VS. GIRLS EATING CONTEST

BATTLE OF THE SEXES

How fast can you eat sushi rolls? That’s right! This is your chance to show the opposite gender who’s BOSS in this Boys vs Girls Eating Contest! Do you have what it takes?

Girls: don’t let those boys think you are dainty and can’t hold your own!

Boys: don’t let those dainty girls beat you! What are you, a sissy?

Come early to get a spot!

The Rules:

Ever seen or participated in a drinking boat race? This is the SAME deal but with DELICIOUS sushi rolls.

This is a TEAM contest. You will be placed into groups of 4! You must eat all the sushi in front of you before the next person on your team can proceed.

For example, player one must eat all the sushi in front of him or her before player two can start. The first team to finish all their rolls win!  Remember…NO HANDS! ALL the pieces of the sushi rolls must be off the plate before you are declared finished.

The Layout:

7:30pm- Round 1: GIRLS VS GIRLS. The girls will duke it out, woman on woman. The winning team will compete in the finale against the boys.

7:50pm- Round 2: BOYS VS BOYS. The boys turn! We expect to see some grunting, tears and sweat. The winning team moves on to the FINAL ROUND.

8:10pm- Round 3: FINALE- BOYS VS. GIRLS. THIS IS IT! THE BATTLE OF THE SEXES SHOW DOWN!

The winning team from Round 1 and Round 2 will compete for the ultimate championship and bragging rights! Let’s not forget the most important part; each person on the winning team will win our latest VANEATS.ca dining pass at Ebisu on Robson! Details about this amazing new package coming soon. Think Mars Attack, Crunch and Munch sushi rolls and Aigamo duck salad!

We’ll be filming the event as part of our Food Adventure Series! Last year, we did an UDON Noodle Eating Contest at Ebisu. This was one of the most hilarious evenings ever! Watch the video below:

What’s a tweet-up without a Twitter contest? Throughout the evening, we will ask you to post photos of the activities of the event. You can take photos of whatever you like, be creative!  Examples include the food you’re eating, the great atmosphere at Ebisu, Kev and Bills’ sexiness (ahem) or even you and your friends at the event. Be sure to use the hashtag, #VANEATUP and mention @vaneatsca and @ebisuvancouver.

At 8:30pm, we will announce the winning photo. This lucky winner will also win our latest VANEATS.ca dining pass at Ebisu on Robson!
